
Dr. Aaron Mertes
Aaron is a professor of Mental Health and school Counseling at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He is currently a therapist and has held several positions in outpatient therapy, inpatient treatment, and crisis counseling. As a rehabilitation counselor he has spent much of his education and career exploring career options for rehabilitation counselors in an effort to understand the full scope of options in the field. He has participated in leadership activities with the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC), is currently on the board of directors of the Council on Accreditation for Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), and has served as leadership for the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP), including past editor-in-chief of the Journal of Life Care Planning (JLCP).
