Therapy with me is like…

If you’ve been to a therapist or know about therapy, what you can expect with me is a bit different. I won’t sit back and ask, “how does that make you feel?”  I don’t have a couch and won’t tell you how crazy you are.  I’m practical, active, and work hard so that you are comfortable and understand very quickly what it will be like to work with me.  

If this is your first time in therapy, don’t worry.  I’ll walk you through the process.  By the end of our first session, you’ll have an idea of what it will be like to work together and what I can do to help.  This isn’t about just working our way out of problems, but learning to thrive in life. I used to tease my mother when she would say, “laughter is the best medicine,” but now I get it.  Sometimes we cry, sometimes we laugh, and all of the time we get to choose together what works for you.  You get to be in charge of our work together and your life moving forward.
